Francis Lagattuta, MD
Francis P. Lagattuta M.D. is the Medical Director for Lags Medical Centers. He holds Board Certifications for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Addiction Medicine, Pain Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He has been treating patients in California for over twenty years. Dr. Lagattuta is also a certified IMR reviewer. He currently practices both on California’s Central Coast and in the Central Valley.
Frederick Comrie, MD
Frederick K. Comrie M.D. specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN and completed his residency at the University of Washington. He has been a member of the Lags team since 2013 and currently practices in California’s Central Valley.
Kendra Brown-Walker, MD
Kendra Brown-Walker, M.D. is fellowship-trained in Pain Medicine and completed her residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Dr. Brown-Walker is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Association of Academic Physiatrists. Dr. Brown-Walker has been a Lags team member since October, 2015 and currently practices at our Ventura County facilities.
Igor Galan, MD
Igor Galan M.D. earned his Doctorate in Neurology from Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences in Edison, NJ. Dr. Galan has also completed a fellowship in Neurophysiology at the Medical University of South Carolina and specializes in general neurology, pain management, neuromuscular disorders, and neurophysiology/epilepsy. He is fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Polish. He has been a member of the Lags team of providers since 2014 and currently practices on California’s Central Coast.
Winston Montero, MD
Winston F. Montero M.D. specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has been a member of the LAGS team of providers since September of 2012. Prior to his work with Lags, he completed his residency with Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He currently practices on California’s Central Coast.
Fajie Ma, MD
Fajie Ma, M.D., is fellowship trained in Pain Medicine and completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the State University of New York (SUNY). He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Ma is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and speaks some Cantonese Chinese. He has been a Lags team member since February, 2016 and practices in the Central Valley and the Bay Area.
Basem Aziz, MD
Basem Aziz, M.D. is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is fluent in English and Arabic. Dr. Aziz has been a member of the Lags team of providers since September of 2014 and he currently practices in California’s Central Valley.
Beth Brown, PA-C
Beth Brown earned her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Practice from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She has been a member of the Lags team since June of 2012. She currently practices on California’s Central Coast.
Winchell Elbo, NP-C
Winchell Elbo has a Masters Degree of Science in Nursing from California State University of Los Angeles. She has been a member of the Lags team of providers since September of 2014. She currently practices on California’s Central Coast.
Latavia Esters, PA-C
Latavia Esters earned her Physicians Assistant Certificate from San Joaquin Valley College in Visalia, California. She is a member of the California Academy of Physician Assistants and the SJVC Physician Assistant Alumni Group. Latavia has been a member of the Lags team since November of 2013 and practices out of our Fresno clinic.
Heliodoro Magaña, PA-C
Heliodoro “Hector” Magaña holds a Master of Science and Master of Public Health degree from Touro University in Vallejo, California. Hector is an associate member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Assistants and is fluent in Spanish. Hector practices out of our Fresno, Visalia, and Lemoore clinics and has been a member of the Lags team since May of 2015.
Karen Holdrege, PMHNP
Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Karen Holdrege, has a career which spans many years and is diverse. She started out as Bachelor student in Psychology. Her early training was with alcoholics and addicts, both inpatient and outpatient. She concurrently got her BSN in Colorado and spent over 25 years in different specialties, leading up to her expertise in ICU and CCU. After getting her MSN, she began working in hospice inpatient in Santa Barbara for 15 years. She also got her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Stony Brook, NY and spent two years at Atascadero State hospital, where she started a new hospice program “Friends until the End”, where the inmates spent time with the dying patients in their ward. lt was a great inspiration for her.
Karen has been working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at several jobs in California since then, working part-time in hospice until the Summer of 2016. She does Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Managements, and prescribes all their psychiatric meds. She loves working with outpatient psychiatric patients and giving them the care and compassion they deserve. She is currently working with Lags Medical Centers on the Central Coast, and working with more dual diagnosis patients.
Sam Safaee, PA-C
Sam Safaee earned his Physicians Assistant Certificate from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. PA Safaee had been practicing in orthopedic and spine surgery in the Bay Area before moving to the Central Coast. He is fluent in both English and Farsi. He has been a member of the Lags team since November of 2011.
Hector Sanchez, NP-C
Hector Sanchez received his Masters of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Hector is fluent in English and Tagalog. He has been a member of the Lags team since June of 2014. He is from Cebu, Philippines, enjoys playing musical instruments and currently practices in the Bay Area and Central Valley.
Jenny Tran, NP-C
Jenny Tran received her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA. She has been a member of the Lags provider team since July of 2014 and is fluent in Cantonese and English. She currently practices on the Central Coast.
Olivia Seibenick, PA-C
Olivia Seibenick holds a Master of Clinical Health Services degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. She is a member of both the California and American Academy of Physician Assistants. Olivia joined the Lags team in October of 2015 and currently practices on California’s Central Coast.
Jason Williford, PA-C
Jason is a Physician Assistant and graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. He has been a member of the LAGS team of providers since May of 2013. He currently works out of our Central Coast offices and is an associate member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the California Academy of Physician Assistants, Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Pain Management.
Leoncio Yap, NP-C
Leoncio Yap is a certified Nurse Practitioner, licensed by the state of California. He is fluent in English, Tagalog, and Mandarin. He earned his Masters of Science degree from Charles Drew University. Mr. Yap has been a member of the LAGS team since 2013 and practices on the Central Coast and Central Valley.
